wedding

we had a wonderful weekend in tennessee! we got to see our duplex. it is perfect! we have two full bathrooms and a wonderful back deck. i'm so excited! oh, and we are officially moving june 1. yay! that means we'll be extremely busy for the next couple of weeks.

the wedding was absolutely perfect as well. i didn't think i would cry at all, but as soon as cam and i started walking down the aisle, i saw my brother and lost it. i feel so blessed to have been a part of all of it. our duplex is just 3 houses or so away from their trailer, so i'm really excited about that, too. :) it was a long couple of days, but jenna handled it all very well, and we had some wonderful friends who were willing to watch her while we did our wedding stuff.

on saturday, we were all exhausted, but i knew we needed to get out, so i talked my mom and brenda into going to world's fair park. it was a beautiful day for it. the sun was out, but it was windy enough to cool it down a bit. we got there, and there was an outdoor festival thing. there were all kinds of booths for outdoor stores- kayaking, the zoo, biking, running... all that stuff. so we went down by the sunsphere and had some lunch. then we called my dad and cam because i knew cam would enjoy all the outdoor stuff. so they came down and met us. once they got there, we walked around and checked out the cool stuff, then headed back to the hotel. we had dinner at the chop house with my grandparents, and saw some wonderful friends (matt and tiffany latta).

sunday, we woke up and headed home. it was a wonderful weekend, and although is was quite busy, it couldn't have been any better. jenna was a trooper the whole weekend. she really is such a calm, easy-going baby.

thanks to brent and brittany for allowing us to be a part of such a wonderful day for them. and thanks to those of you who took care of my baby when we needed to be doing other things.

cars

what a fun day i had yesterday, and by fun, i mean not so fun. it all started out just fine, although, i was exhausted because i hadn't slept the night before. we spent some time in freedom with cameron's family, which was wonderful! it was so good to see everyone even if the weather was nasty. we got home, ready to take a shower and get some rest, only to find we had no house key. so i called brenda and arranged to go get her key. cameron stayed and played outside with jenna until i got back. so i'm driving down highway 31 on my way to brenda's, and I HIT A DOG. he ran off, and i start to hear little whirring sounds every time i hit the gas. so i get to brenda's and look at the front of my car, and it is completely torn up. cameron checked it out, and it looks like the radiator is busted and some fan is messed up. so what makes this even "funnier" is that today, my mom and cam are taking the car to trade it in for a jeep so that we can get my parents' van. how ridiculous! i haven't had a single accident in this car (which i have had now for 7 years) until the day before it's supposed to be traded in. go figure. so that's my exciting story for the week, and it's only tuesday!

**edit** turns out that darn dog caused $2000 worth of damage.

breakfast and pictures

we went over to val and levi's for breakfast and photoshooting because we haven't gotten any really good pictures taken of the three of us yet. it was wonderful. as she usually does anytime we plan a photo shoot, jenna pooped, but luckily it stayed in the diaper. she did a really good job through most of the thing... she's going through this phase where mommy can't be in the room and not holding her, so that's a little difficult, but we managed. hopefully, i'll have some pics to show soon! thanks val and levi! (even though they don't read this...)

tomorrow is jenna's dedication at first christian. cameron's mom and grandma are coming, and my parents are coming. then, we'll be heading down to spencer to be with some of cameron's family. kind of a mother's day/cameron's birthday thing. should be a good time.

then! thursday, we leave for the wedding! woo hoo! i'm so excited... a little nervous about how jenna will do during the ceremony since cameron and i are both in the wedding... i just really want her to do well with whoever she sits with so that they can enjoy the wedding. we'll see... i'm really trying to learn how to NOT anticipate the worst and be flexible when things do happen because, hey, she's a baby. baby's poop. baby's cry. gotta just deal with it and move on. i'm learning. :)

well... i think i've gone on enough. looks like we have a busy but fun week ahead of us!

grumpy

ok, so i was a little grumpy about my lack of sleep when i posted before. here are some pictures of jenna with her daddy. i've started noticing i'm the only one that grabs the camera... all of the pictures of me with jenna are ones i took myself... we need to change this. haha

sleep

cameron is sick.

i did not sleep at all last night.

i'm sleeping on an air mattress in the living room tonight.

the end.

teeth

well, i finally got a glimpse of some white underneath those gums. jenna's third tooth is peeking through! she's been a little grumpier than usual for the past couple of weeks, and i always enjoy finally having an explanation. :) hopefully that thing'll push on through and we'll be done for at least a week or two. long enough to get through wedding weekend would be fantastic! since i can't post without putting at least one photo of jenna up, here's one i took just as we were setting out for a stroll.

ah i'm in love

jenna's growing so fast and getting to be so much fun! i can't believe she will be 7 months old on saturday. crazy! she is so happy and laughs a lot. we're waiting for her to start crawling one of these days. she gets herself pushed way up on her hands, but just can't quite get those knees up yet. no rush... we're enjoying not chasing her around right now. :) we had a fun playdate today with evan. he is my mom's coworker's son. he was born just about a month before jenna. we had a good time.

jenna has been practicing eating cheerios. she got one to her mouth on her own the other day, but for the most part we have to give them to her. i think i'm going to start buying some fresh veggies, steaming them, and chopping them up so she can practice with finger foods. yay! what a big girl. i love her. :)

on a side not... i've had a possible job opportunity open up for when we're in knoxville. i'm not going to give details on here just because it is not a definite by any means, but please be in prayer about it. everything about it seems perfect! but you never know when god has something else in mind...
